The importance of protein and grains in breakfast

The importance of protein in your body can’t be underestimated. In the most simplest terms, proteins are associated with motion, they help with the basic quality of animal, including human’s, life. Protein is a component of every cell in our bodies and if you didn’t know it before, your hair and nails are mainly made of it. Protein is used to repair as well as build your tissue, it’s a building block of skin, blood, bones, muscles.

And the thing with protein is that you need more of it every day – when fat and carbohydrates can be stored and have kind of a reservoir in your body, proteins do not. And as such, you need to consume protein rich foods every day. Especially as it helps in building lean muscle, maintain a healthy weight, curb your hunger as well as speed recovery after you exercise.

Now Kellogg’s has teamed up with Emmy nominated TV personality and a certified emergency medicine physician Dr. Travis Stork to educate families about the importance of protein as well as the importance of breakfast. And how Kellogg’s cereal and a cup of milk can help power up your body every morning.

“We are so excited to partner with Dr. Stork to spread the news that a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal and milk provides the protein and grains you need to start the day right,” said Noel Geoffroy, senior vice president, Marketing & Innovation for Kellogg U.S. Morning Foods.
